We headed out to Kumamoto City, the largest city in Kumamoto Prefecture, to see a folk art museum, Kumamoto Castle, and a shopping street. Later that same day, we had another karaoke party.
My linguistics project was largely a failure; I'd hardly gotten any data. On this morning I made a last-ditch effort to get some good samples; the IEC students pitched in and read into the tape recorder for me. They found the sentences Inoue-sensei helped me create to be pretty funny, maybe because they had to repeat each one three times fast.
